I was recommended for a special effects makeup artist role for a short film that took place in March 2024 in Wales. Some of the looks included male makeup touch ups, scarring effects, ill makeup and blood splatter work. The main task that was given was during a one take scene where I quickly had to change an actors closed wound to an open wound with blood splatters in the space of 20 seconds without being in camera shot.

This work experience was to achieve catastrophic wounds and looks for students at Keele University in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire to practise on for a trauma workshop day. Skills included being able to create realistic wounds, creating multiple looks on different models under a time limit, and maintaining the looks throughout the day due to the certain activities and the workshop being held outside.
